Castrol Classic XXL40 is a premium SAE40 monograde oil. Formulated with high quality mineral oils, plus carefully selected additives, it is ideally suited to older technology and classic car and motorcycle engines.

Castrol Classic XXL40 is designed for older classic vehicles with a traditional guaze oil filter. It is commonly used as a ‘summer’ oil, but is also useful in winter in engines that have a high oil consumption. Original handbook recommendation for many classic motorcycles with roller main bearings. The balanced low detergent formulation prevents build up of metallic ash – in older engines with traditionally high oil consumption, ash can cause detonation and pinging.
